Consignment Agreement
Consignors are responsible for reviewing and understanding all terms of this agreement before leaving items for consignment.
General Information
- Home goods, jewelry, and fashion accessories are accepted during normal business hours on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. No consignments are accepted on Tuesdays.
- Management reserves the right to determine which items are accepted for consignment.
- Consignors receive 40% of the final sale price on furniture, fashion accessories, jewelry, and household items unless otherwise stated.
- Furniture, home goods, jewelry, and accessories remain on the sales floor for 90 days.
- Consigned items are under exclusive contract with Where’d You Get That? during the consignment period and may not be sold or advertised elsewhere.
- Unsold items not retrieved before the end of the merchandising period may be donated or absorbed into store inventory at the store’s discretion.
- Items priced over $100 may require consignor approval regarding final disposition.
- Consignors must retrieve items within 10 days of notification.
- Items later found to be damaged, compromised, counterfeit, or unsuitable may be removed and donated.
- Items are consigned at the owner’s risk. Where’d You Get That? is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or misplacement.
- Payment is available upon request for the balance through the payout date.
- Payments may be picked up in-store or mailed if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is provided.
- Balances remaining unclaimed after one year will be forfeited.
- All terms are subject to change.
Furniture & Rugs
- Furniture must be pre-approved before acceptance.
- Furniture drop-off is by appointment only.
- Furniture picked up by a moving team arranged by the store receives a 40% consignor payout.
- Furniture delivered by the consignor or an independent mover receives a 50% consignor payout.
- Final acceptance is subject to in-person inspection.
- Select homes and larger consignments may qualify for our Concierge Pick-Up & White-Glove Service. For qualifying consignments, generally $1,500 or more in estimated resale value, the store may coordinate professional movers. Moving expenses will be deducted from consignor proceeds at the time of sale.
- Area rugs from pet-loving households will not be accepted.
Clothing Guidelines
- Clothing consignments are accepted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM–4:30 PM.
- Clothing consignors receive 40% of the sale price.
- Consignment visits are limited to ten items per visit and two visits per month.
- Clothing remains in inventory for 60 days: 30 days at full price and 30 days at 50% off.
- Clothing must be current in style, clean, pressed, free of wear, and from smoke-free environments.
- Items must be brought on hangers, not in bags.
- Unsuitable items, including those with stains, missing buttons, broken zippers, odors, excessive wear, or dated styles, may be donated without notice.
- Clothing remaining unsold after 60 days will be donated unless arrangements are made before the end of the merchandising period.
Jewelry Guidelines
- Limit five jewelry pieces per visit, twice per month.
- Individual pieces should be placed in small zip-lock bags.
- The jewelry merchandising period is 90 days, with items discounted 50% after 80 days.
- Preferred styles include chunky, fun, and unusual designs.
- Chokers, thin chains, multi-beaded necklaces, and watches are generally not accepted.
- Exceptions may be made for high-value jewelry.
